L'Oreal Hot Straight Review

This is a product that I have used for at least 4/5 years now and it is the one that I will probably use for much longer. It is a heat protectant which you apply on using your hands through the mid - ends of the hair, I always make sure I apply more to the ends than anything else though as my ends are the worst part of my hair. This product leaves my hair silky soft without making it feel heavy and greasy which most heat protectants I have tried leave my hair feeling probably because its so thin.

Pro's
- Leave's hair soft (I always get compliments on how soft my hair is)
- Avoids feeling heavy and greasy
- Protects so that you don't ruin your hair quite as much when straightening
- Its cheap and does the job so you don't need to spend more money when you don't need to
- Last a long time (at least 4 months using an almond size amount every other day on mid length hair)

Con's
- Does leave excess in your hands so you will need to wash them after use
- You may want another heat protectant that is a spray to use the second day (I only wash my hair every 2 days) as this isn't the sort of product you would apply the next day, I personally don't but its up to you :)

I highly recommend that all of you buy this if you use heat appliances on a daily basis :)

Tresemme Heat Protectant Review

So I've had this product for a couple of weeks now and thought that I would do a review for you all :)

I like this product, its nice and makes my hair very soft and smooth but I do have some problems with it in that I find that on the day after showering and using the product my hair seems to feel greasier than it did when I was using the L'Oreal Hot Straight hair protectant which is rather annoying because its so much easier to use and apply than the L'Oreal.

Pro's
- My hair is so smooth and soft and I have recieved several compliments since using this
- Does protect hair from all sorts of heat
- Easy application as it have a spray applicator so once sprayed on all you have to do is comb it through
- Makes hair look shiny and healthy
- Cheap as it was only about £4? im not quite sure

Con's
- I do find my hair to be greasy on the second day more than normal but that might be different as my hair is veryy thin so if your hair is thicker you might not have this trouble
- Even though the applicator is easy to use I find it difficult to hold, im not quite sure why but I do.. this isn't a reason not to buy it though

Overall I would recommend you buy this and try it as its a good product and even if you buy it and decide its not for you its not expensive :)

Heat Protectant

So I straighten my hair every day and blow dry it after I shower, and I know its terrible for my hair but I hate my natural hair and like it straight :) however to make it a little bit better for my hair I do always use a heat protectant to give it some protection.

I have been using this L'Oreal Hot Straight for about 3 years now and it is lovely :) it makes my hair really soft, it makes it look nice as well without making the hair greasy as well. The only downside really is the application, as you have to put it into your hands and then put it through the hair it can be annoying as you then have to go and wash your hands.

However I have always heard good things about this Tresemme heat protectant and as Tesco had an offer on I decided to purchase it. I have had it for about a week now and I must say I am quite impressed. It says that its supposed to make your hair smooth and it really does, as soon as I applied it it made my hair feel nicer. The application is much easier than the L'Oreal one, all you do is spray it on and comb it through, however I do find it a bit difficult to hold. I would say that it does as good as a job at the L'Oreal heat protectant and the only problem I really have with the Tresemme one is that I find my hair to be quite static especially the next day which can be rather annoying.

Over all I love both of these, they both do a great job and don't leave your hair feeling full of product. Im not sure which of these I prefer but I would recommend both of them :)
